Medical Gas Alarm System Device Service Explained

Depending on the specific level of a medical facility this will determine which NFPA 99 standards a facility will need to meet. Level  1 is the most strict. Level 3 is more laxed in the standards.  Medical gas alarm panel systems are required to monitor your Medical Air Compressor, Surgical Vacuum Pumps, Medical Gas Manifolds and supply pressure.

In A level 1 Facility you are required to have 2 medical gas alarms. One alarm panel must be in area of continuous monitoring and the other alarm panel can be anywhere. We recommend placing the 2nd in the maintenance area. A level 2 must meet the same criteria. As for the level 3 a facility is only required to have 1 medical gas alarm panel.
